Michael Breland
Sales Account Manager

In a sentence or two, tell us your favorite thing about working at Absolute?
After 25 years in the electrical industry, I finally found an ideal environment where I can fully utilize my skills and talents every day. Unlike in the corporate world, I no longer feel constrained. Here, I enjoy the freedom to introduce fresh ideas and collaborate with the team. I find myself wearing multiple hats, contributing to various roles, and actively participating in exciting special projects. I'm always open to saying 'yes' as a sign of my ongoing mutual support.

What accomplishment at Absolute are you most proud of?
My proudest accomplishment at Absolute has been the transition from predominantly selling products throughout my career to offering services upon joining the Absolute Team.

The most exciting part of this shift is my involvement in emergency outage situations, where our customers place their trust in us to conduct a safe assessment, pinpoint the issue, and deliver a rapid solution to restore their operations. Witnessing the satisfaction and trust of our customers would make anyone proud of their team.

What is your favorite place on Earth (Your Happy Place)? And why?
Aggieland, Texas A&M University. The place I met my wife and most of our friends.  We both were Industrial Distribution majors and I was on an Army ROTC scholarship and proud member of the Corps of Cadets.

We are so proud to have our oldest daughter there now getting her own magical college experience in the greatest environment on earth.

What are you surprisingly good at?
Being a girl dad. Growing up, I loved playing sports and was very successful in football and basketball, and I spent countless days hunting and fishing.

However, I’ve also discovered how to be a great cheer dad and a dad to my horse-and-goat-loving daughters. This journey has revealed aspects of my personality that I didn't know existed, sometimes even showcasing my more feminine side—just don’t ask my wife for pictures!

Who inspires you?
My father, a Vietnam Marine who later became a Baptist preacher, has played a pivotal role in shaping who I am today. Our entire family is deeply involved in our church, and I have a strong commitment to giving back to the military and veteran community. While I wasn’t able to serve in the Army myself, many of my closest friends served in various branches. It's my unwavering faith in God and country that truly inspires me.
